Weather - Please note: The weather is looking good for an outdoor wedding, but this is Melbourne, so we’re preparing for all possibilities. Please bring an umbrella just in case, and something warm to wear if the evening gets a little cool.
Footwear: There will be a short walk from parking/uber drop-off to the venue, and parts of the day will take place on grass. Please choose footwear that feels right for you and the terrain.
Dietary Restrictions: Dietary requirements and children's meals have been arranged in advance.
Parking: There is good local parking close by, including along Dallas Brooks Drive and Birdwood Avenue.
Most nearby parking is 2P or 4P, so we recommend downloading the EasyPark app before you arrive. This will allow you to manage your parking from your phone without needing to leave the event.
Tucked away in the heart of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, Gardens House is an extraordinary place to gather — a hidden pocket of history, beauty, and calm just moments from the city. Built in 1854 as the former Director’s residence, this elegant heritage home feels both intimate and timeless, surrounded on all sides by sweeping gardens.
We’re incredibly lucky to be celebrating here in May, when the gardens shift into autumn and the landscape transforms. The trees turn rich shades of gold, amber, and deep red, and the light softens as it filters through the leaves. The lawns, paths, and old trees create a setting that feels warm, romantic, and quietly spectacular — nature doing what it does best, without trying too hard.
Gardens House gives us space to gather together while still feeling tucked away from the world. From the surrounding lawns to the balcony overlooking the gardens, every corner invites you to slow down, wander, and take it all in.
We can’t imagine a more beautiful place to mark this moment with the people we love, and we’re so glad you’ll be here to share it with us.
